I really want to dislike Ricky Gervais but actually he's pretty good at what he does. There's a 'post alternative' aspect of British comedy that Brent (and Gervais more generally) bandwagons. The alternative comedy scene of the 80s was an alternative to the racist, homophobic, mysogi ....
