Harryhausen's special effects in this film are absolutely brilliant as always. I thought that the opening sequence in the submarine was excellent but the rest of the film, excluding Harryhausen's work, was unremarkable. Still definitely worth a watch 3/5

57/100 Early Ray Harryhausen creature feature about a radiation enhanced, giant octopus (with only 6 tentacles) attacking the west coast of the U.S. climaxing at the Golden Gate bridge. The creature effects were wonderful to watch as it threatens several ships and rips the bridge ....
