Overview:
A POW in World War II is put to work in a Munich zoo, looking after an Asian elephant. The zoo is bombed by the Americans and the director of the zoo decides it is not safe for his Asian elephant Lucy to remain there. So he sends Brooks to safety with Lucy. I recall seeing this film as a child, and it always made me smile. Oliver Reed is the eponymous WWII POW who has a job at a zoo in Munich looking after "Lucy". Nope, she's not a glamorous blonde - she's an elephant, and quite a stubborn one at that. As the allies close in, it's decid ....
